Phone Doctor — Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 27, 2026

Phone Doctor (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Phone Doctor app (the “App”) accesses on your device and how it is handled.

The short version. Phone Doctor is a hardware diagnostics utility. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal information. All hardware tests run entirely on your device. The only data that leaves your device is processed by Apple and RevenueCat to verify your in-app purchase.

1. Information accessed on your device

Microphone

Some tools use the device microphone:

Microphone data is processed only on your device, in memory, in real time. It is never recorded to disk, uploaded to any server, or shared with any third party. When you leave a tool, the audio buffer is discarded.

Audio output

Some Pro tools (Speaker Drainage, Speaker Cleaner, Earbud Cleaner, Hearing Test) emit tones through the device speaker or connected headphones. No audio is recorded.

2. In-app purchases

Phone Doctor offers a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase (“Phone Doctor Pro”) that unlocks additional tools. Purchases are processed by:

Your Pro entitlement is also cached locally on your device so the app works offline once unlocked.

3. Information we do NOT collect

To be explicit, Phone Doctor does not:

4. Permissions

Permission Why we need it When it’s requested
Microphone To run microphone-based tests (Mic Test, Decibel Meter, Spectrum Analyzer, Hearing Test). When you open one of those tools for the first time.

You can revoke microphone access at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Microphone › Phone Doctor. Tools that need the microphone will explain why before each use.

5. Data retention

Because the App does not collect personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to retain. Microphone audio used by tests exists only in device memory and is discarded when you leave the tool. Your Pro entitlement record is retained by Apple and RevenueCat for as long as the purchase exists, so you can restore it on new devices.

6. Children’s privacy

Phone Doctor is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a third-party service used by the App, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

7. Your rights (GDPR & CCPA)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom (GDPR/UK GDPR) or in California (CCPA/CPRA), you have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete it. Because Phone Doctor itself does not collect personal data, most of these rights apply only to the limited information processed by Apple and RevenueCat for purchase verification.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
